I bought a Papillio temporary tattoo kit, and it comes with the regular tatto paper, but it came with this transparent paper and I have no idea what to do with it.

The instructions were very vague.

maybe its to cover the tattoo transfer paper if youre not going to use it right away? thats my guess.

Hi there – I run a wordpress blog and when I upload images, it’s a total pain to re-size them in the "manage post" section (especially for very large images). I usually end up resizing them and then uploading them. I would prefer to just upload the full size image, but haven’t found an easy to use plugin. Other than the flickr plugins, has anyone had good experience with any wordpress plugins for images?

I have used many of them, and the best is the Flickr Photo Album plugin from silaspartners.

Basically, you upload the full res photos to flickr.com (a yahoo service) and they automatically appear in the album.

It also gives you a bar right below the post/page editor to insert the pics into your posts (it also automatically links them to your photo album)

I need to replace my beloved Digital Image Pro, photo editing prog. Gimp is more than I can understand, and more than I need. I checked out Pegasus and that is too simple. I need the same features as DIP. Change back ground, cut out items, change colors, special effects, detailed touch up etc. Is there a site to sample various photo editing programs?

I am planning to buy a digital camera (not SLR) that has "optional extra lens" and "optional filters". I only take photos of the family and friends on vacation and at gatherings.

The most important filter on your lens is the skylight or UV filter that is used to protect the lens from damage. Most digital "point and shoot" cameras do not take filters in any case. An add-on lens that might come in handy is the wide angle one. There are times when you need to get more in your photo and there is no way to back up any farther. Also when on vacation, we tend to shoot more landscapes and sunrises and sunsets, so an axillary wide angle adapter might just fit into your plans.

I’ve been working with PHP/MySQL for about 2 years now and I have designed six web sites using this technology. The web sites have been small and simple, but everyone has loved them. you can make around 57 thousand a year but it depends how far in your education you got *what degree* and your experience.

theres many different types of jobs to go with that too because the more education and experience you have the better job you have

I was looking into becoming a border patrol agent for the US. Does it require a Top Secret security clearance, or the likes? How does the background investigation compare to that of what government agencies have to offer? How intense is the application process? I heard other agencies have intense requirements for background checks and I was wondering if this was the same.

Border Patrol Agents have to pass among the most thorough background investigations. I’m not sure that a Top Secret clearance is actually granted, but the investigation is identical. All government background investigations are conducted by the OPM.

The process is the following:

1. Subject Interview – you’ll be questioned about the past 7 years of your life. There is NO polygraph.

2. NAC/LAC Check – during the National Agency Check, your fingerprints and name will be run through national crime databases like NCIS and the FBI database. During the Local Agency Check, the investigator will call the police departments with jurisdiction in ALL of the areas in which you’ve lived, worked, or gone to school. They’ll ask for a report detailing every contact they’ve had with you, even those that did not result in an arrest.

3. Educational verification – they’ll independently verify all of your degrees, certifications and diplomas.

4. Field investigation – the investigator will interview at least one neighbor for each of your residences for the last 7 years (or to age 16, whichever is greater). Then, they’ll interview at least 2 of your 4 references and ask for recommendations to other people who know you, and interview them as well.

5. Medical/mental health check – you will go through an intense physical and a psychological exam. Sometimes, they will pull your medical or mental health files.

BP is currently very, very competitive, so expect to be waiting a while – at least 3-6 months, typically.

I am thirteen and living in Kansas. I am very interested in starting in graphic design and possibly making a career out of it, how should i start?

Start by getting all the books you can find about graphic design and learn the theory, at the same time start experimenting and working in the Adobe Creative suite. The 3 most used programs are Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, they are pretty tough to learn but they are the industry standard.
Second thing you should do is look for the portfolios, blogs, websites etc of good designers in the design world or you can scan deviantart for inspiration.

third: practice practice practice practice, never stop learning!

Hi there, I have two plugins running on my FL Studio, one is a soft synth sound and the other is really nice lead, both are different plugins/sounds but the problem is that I can only choose one at a time to play them but I want to play both of them each time I play on my MIDI controller……….. Can I do that ?

Yes you can! It makes for very nice combination posibilities. So open fl studio. get the two sounds up that you want. In the step sequencer, right click on any one of them and "insert". Choose "layers". A channel settings box will pop up. Set that next to your step sequencer so that you can see both. Select layers. then right click the little lights on the right side of the synths that you want to join controll of. They will turn green. Then mouse over to layers and click "set children". Next re click on layers and tada! Layers and layers of maddness. At any time, you can click "show children", and it will light those little green lights up again in your step sequencer to show what you have joined. There is another method to control one synth on one side of your keyboard and another on the opposite. This is also very useful but heres a link to watch a video. These are always better for me because I can actually see whats going on.

The custom shape tool can be activated by selecting it by right clicking the Rectange Tool from the left panel in Photoshop.

I really want to speed up my renders as my computer is…. pathetic and takes an unbelievable amount of time to render a short clip at medium quality, and so i thought that a game console would work as it has to render 3d images all the time. please help
