How do I make a transparent layer in EazyDraw?

I am using the demo version of EaztDraw and am trying to have a transparent background.
I’ve tried messing around with a lot of the settings and can’t make it work.
I’ve also, when exporting, clicked the option with "no background".
Neither of these has gotten me my transparent background.

I’m testing this software to design logos for my mother’s company.
So that’s why I need the ability to do transparent backgrounds.

If there’s an option on the top menu that says "Layer" it should say "add alpha channel" or something. If so, click it and delete the area where you want it to be transparent.

But EazyDraw, never heard of it, but you may want to use GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) as it is intirely free and also let’s you use transparency. If you download gimp, do this:
"Layer;Transparency;Add Alpha Channel"

then delete and you’ll have a checkered backgrond. This means that it’s transparent. I suggest you download GIMP, it’s much like photoshop.

Where can I find a good photo editing website?

I want to find a photo editing website that actually CAN make a glowing eye effect on action figures.(because I’m making a stopmotion) Could someone help? Oh yeah and could you tell me if the glowing eyes can change color?

Picnik, FotoFlexer or Lunapic are great all round web based and FREE editing tools. Adobe, makers of the expensive Photoshop, now has a free website version in Photoshop Express. If you need/want more features downloading GIMP is a great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. There are also free tools to add text blurbs, to make collages, to put your photo into other images. There are a number of tools that allow you to put the image of a face into other photos for some fun creations. Check out the links below for more ideas.

Are there special filters that should be used for digital slrs?

I need some new filters for my D200. Today, at my local camera store, I was told there are new "digital filters" that I should buy (they cost a lot more) instead of the old "analog filters" because digital filters supposedly will work better on a digital camera. The salesperson, with whom I have dealt many times and is pretty knowledgeable, couldn’t explain why, other than to say it was because there are differences in the ways a digital sensor and film react to light. Is there anything to this? Ever since I got a digital SLR, I have been using my old lenses and filters, and have never noticed any issue.

In my opinion its just a marketing ploy to seperate you from your money. Since film is rated as an ISO number and your digital camera has ISO settings does it really make sense to say "… there are differences in the ways a digital sensor and film react to light."? hmmmm… On second thought, they do "react" differently. Light striking film causes a reaction of the silver halides which has to be chemically processed. Light striking a digital sensor creates an image electronically.

I know for certain that a linear polarizer will not work with a camera with through the lens metering, film or digital. I also know that a linear polarizer will mess up AF.

If the store allows a return policy maybe you could buy a so-called "digital" version of the filter you use the most. Then do a side by side comparison. If you can’t tell any difference then you’ll know its just hype.

What should I know before getting a certificate in web design?

Upon entering employment as a Web Designer, I’ve heard all you have to get is a web design certificate and that you don’t need a degree in college…I haven’t been to school in about 16 yrs due to having kids, etc…Not sure where to start. Have read books on Web Design and am very sure that that’s what I want to do. Please Help..Thank you in advance.

If I were you I would try getting some certificates from http://logiczap.com along with a design certificate. If you know HTML, CSS, or PHP I would highly recommend getting one since it looks good on a resume. Many clients want web designers to know basic languages like HTML and CSS (php isn’t really a requirement so you can ignore that one).

I think it’s about $15 for the digital one and $50 for the framed one sent in the mail. Good Luck!!!

How can I change the background color when sending an email?

My send email (classic or new) is set with a pink background. I’ve tried everything I know to change it to stationary or another background color. The changes won’t stay. It always reverts back to the pink background?

STATIONARY BACKGROUNDS:
When you click on the Stationary for backgrounds, select None at the top left.
Go to the bottom right of this window and click Done. It should stay this way.

What other graphic design tools does my boyfriend need?

My boyfriend is going to college for graphic design. I gave him a graphic design tablet for his birthday and he already has photoshop. I don’t know a lot about graphic design. Are there any other graphic design tools will help him in college and also use in his future job?

If he already has all the basic adobe suite programs for graphic design like, photoshop, illustrator, indesign, flash, and dreamweaver. he will not need any more programs for now. plus they are very expensive!

I would get him a really nice wireless mouse, or some big color full graphic design books. he can use them for design ideas (graphic designers need a source for ideas) or you could get him a subscription to one of these great magazines. http://www.youthedesigner.com/2008/09/08/10-amazing-graphic-design-magazines-part-1/

Lady GaGa Poker Face Tutorial

Being a HUGE fan of Lady GaGa, I’ve gotten hundreds of request to replicate her eye makeup in Poker Face…but I thought…why not just go all out and just replicate the entire look, hair, accessories and makeup!

I’m not trying to be her, nor think I look like her. I’m just having fun cosplaying as Lady GaGa.

You don’t need the blonde wig or anything, they’re just for fun. The gloves are sick though! Love them. This look is great for prom, clubbing and other glamorous occasions.

PhotoSketch: A Google SketchUp Plugin for Photo-Centric 3D..

Google Tech Talk
June 24, 2009

ABSTRACT

PhotoSketch: A Google SketchUp Plugin for Photo-Centric 3D Modeling

Presented by Prof. George Wolberg
Dept. of Computer Science
City College of New York

This talk presents the PhotoSketch urban 3D modeling plugin for Google SketchUp. PhotoSketch is designed to make it easy for SketchUp users to build phototextured 3D models of buildings directly from photographs. We simplify the 3D modeling workflow by leveraging the SketchUp push-pull interface with computer vision and photogrammetry techniques. The PhotoSketch plugin merges the benefits of automatic feature extraction, camera pose recovery, an intuitive sketching interface, and advanced texture mapping with occlusion detection to produce lightweight photorealistic 3D models of buildings. These models typically consist of a few hundred polygons each, which makes them well-suited for use in high-performance visualization, online gaming, and web-based applications such as Google Earth.
