How to set a background image in a frame or in a panel in java?
I want to add a background image to my frame. I am using netbeans as my IDE, so please anyone can tell how to do that.
If you even know, how to add an image to a panel, that would also work out..
Remember, it must be a background image, so that I can add my other components too so don’t suggest label for it…

Override the public void paint(Graphics g) method in your Container, either JFrame or JPanel. Then use the Graphics reference passed to the method to draw the image you want using the drawImage() method of Graphics. I added some pictures from Google into my PowerPoint slides, but the background on the images are solid white, and the background of the slides are olive green. How do I make them the same color without taking away from the resolution of the picture? I tried just using the fill bucket in paint, but it didn’t turn everything i wanted green. I don’t have Photoshop but i know the color’s RGB code and html code. Help?
You need to use software that can change the background. there are many software in that kind. Photo MovieTheater is a nice one, i think. using that, you can make a slideshow and change its background as you like. If you are interested, you can refer to its official website:

Download an app called Winterboard on Cydia, and then you can browse the themes in the theme section on Cydia, then go back into winterboard and you can sort it all out in there.

How do I insert background image to Microsoft Word document?
I have tried using the watermark option. I cannot change my margins after I insert the image. My image shifts. The other way I have tried is by using fill effects in the page color option. This option does not let me print the file with the background. Also it shows no background image in the print preview. Tried inserting image in the header but it would not help either. Please help?
Right click the image and go to text wrapping
then choose behind text. after this it shouldn’t shift around.

How can I remove a white background from a picture in Paint?
Like ok, I know how to remove a picture from its background, but if I wanna put that picture into another background, the picture has a white background behind it, so how can I remove it?

And you’re doing that in Microsoft Paint ???? Wow… you’re brave – that would have to be THE worst program to use.
Anyway…. I know what your problem is and it is very easy to fix, except that I don’t know if Paint will let you. If not, many other programs such as Photoshop, Elements or Gimp (free) certainly will.
You said you know how to extract the subject.
So the Photoshop steps would be:
Promote the background to a proper layer
Select the subject, delete what is left
Save it as a TIFF or a GIF. <—- that is the magic step, because jpg’s don’t support transparencies.
