When I transfer footage on to Sony Vegas Pro 9, the audio renders fine at some points but at others it just?

drops out. I was wondering why it does that because when I play the video anywhere else, VLC player, etc. it plays perfect. I used a Canon HV40 to rip the video with Vegas Pro 9.

Check the frame rate setting. If your video was shot at 24fps (23.976) and you render at 25fps, then you’ll experience the drop outs.

When you render, do you have the ‘render loop region only’ box checked?
If it is, then probably your loop [the little yellow markers on top of your tracks] is probably on the first 20 seconds. You can uncheck the box or move the loop in a way that it covers all 4 minutes if your video.

Trouble finding ideas and renders for forum signatures and gfx?

I’m pretty good with photoshop but my problem is that I just can’t find any good images or ideas for forum signatures. I try to find them on planetrenders.net but I’m not a huge fan of anime and most of them have bad graphics if they are 3d/look corny(can’t think of any other way to describe this). Plus I find it hard to search for them. Could anyone give me some ideas or some good links to renders?

Try using Google Advanced Image Search.

http://images.google.com/advanced_image_search

You search by licenses that allow modification; commercial or non-commercial.

Or, sign up at http://www.istockphoto.com/ and search for vector illustrations.

Every time I open a file in Illustrator that I created in Illustrator, it renders it and takes a long time?

How do I stop it from rendering every time I open it? I need to open it in Fireworks too but I think because it’s rendering, it’s taking ages and I’m not sure it will open at all? Help please!

do you understand how illustrator works? Unlike JPEGs and PNGs, which are called raster graphics, Illustrator files, like SVGs, must be rendered every time you show them. Rather than containing a grid of pixels, they contain a description of what to draw and where. The advantage of this is that you can grow the image without a loss of resolution. The disadvantage is that you have to render it every single time. The only way to avoid it is to save it in a raster format, which will cause you to lose details. And anyway, that’s what Photoshop is for.
