Where can I find a lamp the rotates and produces shapes on the wall?

I’m looking for a lamp that rotates and produces shapes on the wall as it rotates. It’s like a night light. I don’t even know what they are called. Can someone help me?

Try searching for "projection night lights" I have found some…all have to be ordered thru the internet. The link I have attached is for one that changes colors (but not shapes). Good luck with your search.

What are the different type of shapes WINGS or Airofoil in Plane?

I know few wings like DELTA shape wing, trianular wing….Help me know more shapes

NACS has tons of airfoils. Google it, and you’ll get a bunch of shapes.

In addition to delta wings, there are straight wings, where the leading and trailing edge are both 90 deg to the fuselage, there are tapered wings, which start 90 deg to the fuselage and, typically, the trailing edge of the wing tapers forward to the direction of flight. And there are swept wings, (usually tapered,) where the leading edge of the wing sweeps towards the tail of the aircraft, allowing for a longer wing and less profile drag, meaning greater lift and increased economy for the speeds expected in cruise flight.

Another interesting thing to note is diehedral. Most aircraft have some diehedral built into the wings. Diehedral is the upward angle of the wings from the fuselage to the wing tip. This provides greater flight stability.

Low wing aircraft, (with the wings mounted at the bottom of the fuselage,) tend to have a greater diehedral than high wing aircraft because with low wings, the rest of the airframe is sitting on top of the center of lift while the high wing basically hangs from the center of lift.

Think of it this way, if you pound a nail into your wall, you can hang something from it easly. If you drive two nails and set something with a pointed bottom between the nails, it’ll stay where you put it until the nails bend.

Cathedral, used by some fighters and stunt aircraft, has the wings sloping downward from the fuselage. This increases agility and manueverability by allowing the airplane’s weight to use gravity to basically fall over the center of lift in a turn.

To go back to the nail in the wall analysis, try to balance a painting in a circular frame on a single nail.

If a google search doesn’t give you more information on NACS airfoils than you want, www. ntsb.gov, should be able to help you find what you’re interested in.

www.airliners.com will also have more pictures than you ever wanted to see of airplanes and can better illustrate the various wing designs and shapes. High wing aircraft are Cessna from the 140 model to the 208, with the 336 and 337 along the way, Piper Cubs, Tri-Pacers and the like. Low wing aircraft with varying diehedrals include the Mooney M-20, Piper PA-28, anything from Beechcraft, and most jets.

Good luck, hope I helped.

What is the minimum mass of an object in space before gravity naturally shapes the object into a sphere?

Small asteroids and other objects can be found in many shapes.

However, at some mass, gravity will automatically shape the object into a sphere. What is this point (like what mass or when does this happen)? And why?

The mass at which this happens depends on the composition and condition of the body in question. The body has to be massive enough for its gravity to overcome the rigidity of its material. If there’s enough force to make the material flow, the object will assume a spherical shape because that’s the lowest energy configuration – everything on the surface of a sphere is at the same gravitational potential, so there’s no tendency for it to fall to another position.

The asteroid Ceres appears to be the smallest spherical asteroid, with a mass of around 10^21 kg, so that sets an upper bound for the minimum size for a rocky object.

How do you use photoshop cs3 vanishing point on other shapes?

Photoshop CS3s vanishing tool is great for things like cubes. But how and can you get it to work on objects such as pyramids, 3d pac man shapes, spheres, etc…? If possible, and link would be great.

Vanishing point only works using planes and not complex 3D surfaces. It simply let’s you compensate for perspective when cloning.

In your example it means you could use it on the side of a pyramid (it is flat), but not on the surface of a sphere.

If this is something you have a lot of need for, you should look into the 3D features of Photoshop CS4 extended and maybe some proper 3D applications.

How many different shapes of Pyramids are there?

How many different shapes of Pyramids are there? And what are they?

are you speaking mathematically or historically. Mathematically there are as many shapes as there are regular two dimensional polygons, e.g. if a square forms the base it is a square sided pyramid if a triangle forms the base it is a tetrahedron or triangular based pyramid if a hexagon then is a hexagonal pyramid etc etc.
if you are talking historically, then all the pyramids that i know about in Egypt are square based pyramids, however they are not all regular, for instance the stepped sided pyramid at saqarra (mentioned above)is just that a series of steps and the bent pyramid at dashur changed its angle half way through construction. The remaining pyramids were as far as i know originally built to be regular.

What do the shapes mean on the back of the Army Pt shirts?

You know how they, well some of the ones we have, have two black shapes, what do they mean?

It’s an "A" for Army. It’s also (on the official version) reflective material so they can be seen jogging on the side of the road at 3am. ;)

What are the shapes of superclusters and voids in the universe?

What are the shapes of superclusters and voids in the universe?

The voids are like giant bubbes, and the superclusters are the filamentary structures in-between them. You could compare it to bubble foam, or to a 3-dimensional spider web. Some superclusters are lined up into "walls", such as the Sloan Great Wall.

How do you make other shapes like ♥ on Myspace?

I know how to make ♥ but I’ve seen other shapes, and I’d like to know how to do others. Also what is it called when you make these shapes when you type?

That site has most of them there.

How do shapes and formations mean numbers?

I know the title is confusing, so read this:

A counselor at an after school thing showed us trick using index cards. He would arrange them into random shapes and patterns, like overlapping them, etc. And the formation would symbolize a number. We could never figure out how though. We tried counting how many cards he used, how many edges were showing, or even if the cards actually formed the number itself. We could not figure it out. We thought he might be making it up and then he arranged a few of them together and called a girl over who knew how it worked and asked her what it was and she would always answer right. He didn’t even always use index cards, he said you could do it with anything, like markers, he used those too.

It’s driving me insane! Please help!

Now, this is the way it happened to me when I was younger, see if this is possible in your case. The guessers all attentively watch the person arranging whatever object they use. They stare at the cards/whatever and do not notice the arranger slyly placing their fingers on the edge of the table. Someone who knows the trick is called over and immediately gets the "number". No joke, it was that simple. I would say ask to see it again and closely watch his hands/fingers, and not the cards. Now, having friends that are the counselors, it has been confirmed that they still do this. So simple, yet so deceiving.

What do you think the different diamond shapes say about the wearer?

For example, do you think sophisticated women prefer a certain shape of diamond while more family oriented women prefer another shape? I am not trying to make fun of anyone’s preferred cut of diamond – I am really just curious to see if anyone has any opinions about the different shapes out there. I am curious about everyone’s opinion about all diamond shapes if you have one.
ajsarabi – no I do not have diamond envy – I have a one carat diamond (not saying which shape) but was just bored and wanted to start up a cool conversation.

Round cut – the wearer is the type of person who thinks "classics never die". Round-cut diamond wearers have simple, elegant style

Princess cut – since these are more expensive to produce, the wearer likes fine, expensive things, and the name of the cut could also describe the person wearing it. Beware: could also be something of a diva.

Marquise cut – lovely cut, and makes the fingers look longer. The wearer may be a hopeless romantic (especially if they know the story behind the Marquis cut stone)

Trillion cut – Cool, modern and different. Not many people have this type of cut stone. The wearer likes different things and has a quirky sense of style and humor.

Oval cut – old-fashioned type of person; tradition is very important to the wearer. To me, oval cut stones remind me of cameo jewelry (ovals) and antique estate jewelry and they are very old-world style accessories.
