put it on many layers. but wait for ithe first layer to dry then

put another coat of nail polish on and if it’s still transparent

repeat the steps! that was what it i did and it worked!

What can i do to prevent this (it shows a transparent background but when i save it it has a white background)?

That’s normal. You need to save your picture as Photoshop file – *.PSD *.PDD

you can use most programs that support transparency. Gimp can do this. Use a transparent background and export the image as a .gif or a .png file. these image file formats support transparency.

Instead of using Photoshop and buying it for $800 or getting a 30 day trial, there is a program exactly like it called GIMP. There are many YouTube ( youtube.com ) tutorails on how to use this program. This is the closest you can get to Photoshop without buying.

Go to your layers palette when you have the image on your screen.
In the layers palette double-click on the word "background". Photohop will change the background to layer 0 (or anything else you’d like to call it).

When you erase something now, you’ll see the familiar checkerboard to indicate transparency. (Don’t save as a JPEG, use PSD or Tif instead) Jpeg doesn’t support transparency.
