How can i make transparent pictures on paint?
Lets say i have picture and i line it up and get it out of the rest of the picture. HOW DO I GET IT OUT TO MAKE IT transparent?
If you are talking about MS Paint, then whether you select your image with Select or Free-Form Selct, there will be a box at the bottom of all the tools. Click the bottom part with a square in a transparent, dotted box. Hopefully, that was understandable.
How can i make an image background transparent?
I use GIMP. I know how to make the image transparent and all that.
I save it. But when I go to photobucket and try to upload the pictures, it doesnt show the transparent images in the pictures. I know i saved it because i go back to gimp and it shows the images just fine. What do i have to do?
You need to save it in PNG or GIF format….JPG doesn’t support transparency.
how do the nearly transparent layers of a large white onion work together to give the onion a white appearance?
If you peel apart a large white onion, you will find that it contains many nearly transparent layers. How do these layers work together to give the onion a white appearance?
In the same way as a sheet of paper held up to a source of light, you can see light through 1 or more sheets. However if there are enough sheets packed together the light will not pass through. Like holding up a phone book to the sun and trying too look through it and see the sun. Each layer of the onion will stop some light from getting through up to a point where all of the light is stopped from passing through the onion, this means that the light is reflected back and appears non transparent. I know this is the other way round to the phone book analogy, however it is the same kind of effect. Hope this is of some help.

Where can I find transparent images to use for photoshopping?
For instance: I have a picture of the sky and I want to add balloons. I would either have to find a picture of a balloon with a white background, add it as another layer and filter the layer as ‘burn’ to make the white disappear. OR there could already exist a transparent image to add. What are those pictures called and where can I find them?
You may not be able to find one, but you can use your magic wand tool to select the balloons or what ever you want to keep on the layer, then invert your selection and hit delete, so the part you deleted will be transparent, but the balloons or w/e will still be there.

What is the best way to place a transparent image on a website?
I have a transparent image in .PNG format (w/ alpha transparency). The problem is, Internet Explorer doesn’t support this type of image. A transparent .GIF looks awful. What are my options here? Is there a simple way to make IE adapt to the transparency? Do browsers support transparent .TIFF’s?
I agree .gif is the way to go. You need to watch your setting when you set the transparency. If you use to high a feather parts of your picture may become transparent.
I use Corel Paint Shop Pro to make a couple pics with transparent backgrounds and they looked fine.
I don’t know about .tiff, but why not just try it.
How do I make the background tables transparent on myspace?
I want to make the tables transparent but I want to keep everything on them, I just want the background colour gone, so you can see behind the table.
Thank you.

You might want to change the opacity to your choice
