I took a photo, and I thought it was good till I saw this smudge in one of the photos that was on the mirror I think. Does a photo editing program, like Photobucket, have anything that can get rid of it? How?

with other editors you could use clone stamp s tools to basically copy around blemish, and stamp over area, to repair and replace unwanted objects,
